Snow, “Our True Position” (March 13, 1845)
This is the full text of the Snow editorial that dates the seventh-month cry from July 21, 1844. It opened the first number of The Jubilee Standard (New York, March 13, 1845). No copy of that first issue was located in our source search; the text below follows Snow's own reprint in The Book of Judgment (1848), pp. 114–120, with obvious scanning errors corrected.
No Snow document dated July 21, 1844 has been found. The True Midnight Cry, sometimes said to date from July 21, is dated August 22, 1844.
Primary Source: Samuel S. Snow, Book of Judgment, printed p. 119. The original scan and ministry-formatted edition reproduce the same historical source and should not be treated as independent corroborating witnesses.
The original book heads this article “The Jubilee Standard” (pp. 114–120), signed March 13, 1845. The ministry edition retains its existing editorial title.
Kings of the East and the Final Deliverance at the Close of Probation
This study traces the final prophetic sequence from the harvest and close of probation through Christ’s completed sanctuary work, the seven last plagues, the drying of the Euphrates, and the Sign of the Son of Man appearing in the east. It examines Revelation 16:12 alongside the historical Cyrus-and-Babylon pattern, the sealing of the 144,000, the glory of God coming from the east, and Christ’s final appearing with the armies of Heaven. The study brings these passages together as one continuous prophetic chain within the framework of the Original Three Angel’s Messages.
James White’s 1875 Published Position: Prophetic Periods and the Seven Times
This study presents evidence that James White maintained the Advent movement’s 1840–1844 prophetic-period position, including the Seven Times (2520), in his 1850 Present Truth articles and reaffirmed the prophetic periods in 1875.
It distinguishes his documented statements from the later unsigned anti-2520 article: no verifiable author code, signature, or independent primary-source record establishes his authorship, and no verified record has been found of him retracting or changing his position.
The 2520 Original Position and The Repeated Objections
A documented study of the original Millerite 2520 position, the objections raised before and after 1844, the historical sources for 677 B.C., and the cited testimony of Ellen G. White.
Gog, 1844 and the Seven Months — The Commencement of the Chain of Truth, Part 2
Part 2 of the Scripture-centered study of Ezekiel 38–39, the seven years and seven months, and their connection to the commencement of the chain of truth in 1844.
Eleven original issues published by James White, with the companion Advent Review records and historical guide preserved in the same facsimile collection.
